Though GTA Definitive also has better framerate by default, so it is not exactly that praiseworthy.The Caligula Effect 2 might have passed you by. The original game did not have the new additions, obviously (and even the new additions are awkwardly implemented) but the remake it is worse in every regard, except the framerate, which is better. No that is not a joke, that is actually the truth. The anime cutscenes were of way higher quality in the original game, actually done by an experienced (sadly now defunct) anime studio, and the new cutscene looks equally terrible as the rest of the remake's cutscenes, but it is what it is (but I can't fault the 32 college students for the cutscenes, they did their best. I just hope they will patch this version to add the missing cutscene for MC's awakening. The situation with this game and that game is identical. It is very similar, if not the exact same as what GTA The Trilogy: The Definitive Edition went through. ![]() But due to the remake being done by a new inexperienced studio, and the publisher FuRyu wanting to save costs, you got the remake in the state that it is.
